Effective Date: April 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com, a consumer information resource operated by Addison Myers Group LLC ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. By using this website or submitting a request through any form, you acknowledge the practices described below.
What lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com is, in plain English: we are a consumer directory and referral service — not a licensed insurance agency, producer, or broker. We do not sell, solicit, negotiate, or recommend insurance policies. When you submit a quote request, we route your information to one independent licensed insurance agent who then contacts you directly. We are compensated by that agent when they accept the referral.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the website or submit a form, we may collect:
- Identifiers: full name, email address, phone number, mailing/ZIP address, date of birth.
- Self-reported health information: general health status (e.g., "Excellent/Average/Poor"), tobacco use, and condition categories relevant to insurance product matching. We do NOT receive or store medical records. This information is not collected, stored, or transmitted in a manner regulated by HIPAA, as we are not a covered entity or business associate.
- Financial information: self-reported household income range, employment status, coverage amount desired. We do not access bank accounts, credit reports, or tax records.
- Consent and session metadata: date/time of submission, IP address, page URL, form version, device/browser user-agent, and the exact disclosure text you agreed to. These are retained as evidence of your consent under TCPA and state privacy laws.
- Technical data: browser type, OS, referring URL, interaction events, page-view timing.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Connect you with one independent licensed agent who may provide quotes, recommendations, and application support. lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com itself does not provide quotes or insurance advice.
- Operate the website — hosting, security, fraud prevention, form processing, lead-routing.
- Legal compliance — respond to subpoenas, preserve records required by law, defend against legal claims.
- Analytics — aggregate, de-identified usage patterns to improve the site. We do not build advertising profiles or sell browsing data to ad networks.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information with:
- One licensed insurance professional: your submission is routed to only one independent licensed agent — the same agent whose profile is displayed to you on the quote form at the time of submission. This is a one-to-one referral, not a mass-distribution lead auction. We do not re-sell, list-broker, or redistribute your contact information.
- Service providers: hosting providers, call-routing/telephony vendors (e.g., SignalWire), form-processing platforms, analytics tools, and similar infrastructure vendors. These vendors act under contractual confidentiality and data-security obligations and may not use your data for their own marketing.
- Legal and regulatory authorities: when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to defend our legal rights.
- Corporate successors: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not share your information with lead aggregators, third-party marketers, data brokers, or advertising networks.
4. How We Make Money (Compensation Disclosure)
Addison Myers Group LLC is compensated by the independent licensed agent who accepts your referral. You are never charged. This compensation:
- Does not affect the rates quoted to you by any insurance carrier;
- Is our business model for operating the website free of cost to consumers;
- Occurs regardless of whether you purchase a policy.
Important — state privacy-law classification: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar comprehensive state laws (VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, TDPSA, OCPA, MCDPA, NHDPA, NJDPA), the referral compensation model may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information in the strict legal sense of those statutes — even though you are not billed and we do not auction your data to multiple buyers. You have the right to opt out of this sharing at any time (see Section 7).
5. Data Retention
- Lead submissions: retained for 36 months from date of submission, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Call recordings (if any): retained for 12 months.
- Consent records: retained for 6 years (the federal TCPA statute of limitations window) as evidence of prior express written consent.
- Financial data is purged within 90 days of last meaningful interaction unless retention is required by law or pending litigation.
- Technical/analytics data: de-identified within 26 months per standard Google Analytics defaults.
6. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Privacy Notice
Because we collect information related to insurance transactions, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act may apply. This section functions as our GLBA privacy notice:
- Information collected: identifiers and financial/insurance information you submit via our forms (see Section 1).
- Information shared: limited to the one independent licensed agent who receives your referral and the service providers described in Section 3.
- Opt-out right: you may opt out of any sharing beyond what is strictly necessary to complete your requested referral by emailing hello@lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com. Note that opting out of sharing with the receiving agent means we cannot complete your quote request.
- Safeguards: we maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards consistent with the Safeguards Rule, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due-diligence.
7. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state comprehensive privacy laws, including:
- Right to know: what personal information we have collected about you, sources, purposes, and categories of recipients.
- Right to access: a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing": opt out of our referral compensation model as described in Section 4.
- Right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling: we do not engage in these, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny service or charge different prices because you exercised your privacy rights.
- Right to appeal: if we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our denial with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal."
How to exercise: email hello@lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com with "Privacy Request — [state abbreviation]" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days (with one 45-day extension if needed). We may need to verify your identity to protect your data.
Authorized agents (CCPA): you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We require written authorization and verification of both your identity and the agent's.
California "Shine the Light" (Civil Code §1798.83): we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonably designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These include TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls for systems holding personal information, vendor contracts requiring equivalent safeguards, and periodic review of our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by the breach notification laws of your state of residence, generally within 30–60 days of our confirmation of the breach. The notice will describe what happened, what information was involved, what we are doing, what you can do, and how to contact us.
10. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Analytics
Our website uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: session cookies required for the form to function. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: aggregate, de-identified usage data (typically Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. You may opt out via Google's Ads Settings or by using a Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal.
We do not use third-party advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising trackers, or cross-site profiling technology.
Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor GPC signals as an opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" under applicable state privacy laws.
11. SMS and Phone Communications Consent (TCPA)
When you submit a quote-request form and check the consent box, you are providing prior express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable FCC rules to receive calls and text messages (SMS/MMS) from Addison Myers Group LLC and the one licensed life insurance agent assigned to your request, at the phone number you provided, including via automated telephone dialing systems, pre-recorded voice messages, and artificial voice messages.
Key terms of your consent:
- Who messages you: Addison Myers Group LLC (operating SidecarLeads) and the single licensed agent assigned to your referral at the time of submission. We do not sell or share your contact information with multiple parties or lead aggregators.
- Message purpose: quote confirmation, introduction to your assigned agent, and follow-up related to your life insurance quote request.
- Frequency: typically 1 to 5 messages following your initial submission; additional messages thereafter only if you reply or engage.
- Consent is not required for purchase: you are not required to consent to calls or text messages in order to purchase insurance. You may obtain a quote by calling a licensed agent directly.
- Opt out — reply STOP: reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts. Reply HELP for support.
- Carrier charges: message and data rates may apply; Addison Myers Group LLC is not responsible for your wireless carrier charges.
- Number authorization: you represent that you are the authorized user/subscriber of the number submitted and will notify us if it changes.
- Do Not Call lists: your consent overrides internal or national Do Not Call list status for the limited purpose of this one referral. It does not extend to third parties.
The FCC's 2023 "one-to-one" consent rule was vacated by the 11th Circuit in early 2025; we nonetheless operate on a one-to-one consent basis as described in this policy and in our Terms and Conditions.
12. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
This website is intended for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and life insurance quote requests from minors are not permitted. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us at hello@lifeinsuranceagentsasheville.com.
13. U.S. Only — International Users
This website and its services are intended exclusively for residents of the United States and its territories. We geo-restrict access from most non-U.S. locations and do not knowingly collect information from individuals outside the U.S. If you are outside the U.S., please do not submit personal information through this website.
14. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites (e.g., carrier informational pages, state insurance regulator websites, public license data sources). Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, for which we bear no responsibility.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new Effective Date and, for users with active referrals, notify you by email. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
